Metro HRA
Metro HRA is hosting a lottery to join the Housing Choice Voucher (section 8) waitlist for the first time since June 2022. Waitlist applications will be available April 9-16, 2025. Metro HRA will conduct the waitlist lottery on May 1, 2025.

Community & School Collaborative
The CSC serves over 1,200 kids annually to remove mental and emotional barriers to school success. Call 612-259-7384 for legal advice, counseling, and more supports available in a variety of languages, including Spanish, English, and Hmong.
Salvation Army
Offers resources including food and meal programs, youth programs, rent and utility assistance. Offers free Thanksgiving food to residents in their service area on a walk-in basis. They also serve free Thanksgiving dinners at locations in the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota, and North Dakota.
Open Arms MN
Provides weekly meals to families with health issues (living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, MS, ALS, ESRD, CHF, COPD, or have been impacted by COVID-19.
Hospitality House Youth Development
1220 Logan Ave N., Minneapolis, MN. Christmas with Dignity is a program that allows families to buy their presents for their children at 10 cents on the dollar.
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities
Offers a Thanksgiving food distribution with bags of food for families in need. They also serve a special diner to community members and Mission residents, and deliver hot meals to people in need.
